✅ 1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on Edubozza (edubozza.org) or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
If you are registering on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that institution to these terms.
🎓 2. Our Services
Edubozza provides an interactive learning platform including:
- AI-generated quizzes and practice sessions across multiple subjects
- Live classroom games including AfriBozza, Tug of War, True or False, and Number Cruncher
- AfriLearn AI Tutor — supporting text, photo and voice input
- Learner progress tracking, XP, badges and leaderboards
- School and teacher management tools
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice.
👤 3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account independently. Learners under 13 may use Edubozza only under the supervision of a parent, teacher or school administrator.
- One person may hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is prohibited.
- You must notify us immediately at info@edubozza.org if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
🚫 4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
- Upload, post or share content that is harmful, offensive, hateful or inappropriate for learners
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or another user's account
- Use automated bots or scrapers to access or collect data from the platform
- Resell, redistribute or sublicense access to Edubozza without written permission
- Interfere with the normal operation of the platform or its infrastructure
- Impersonate any person, school or organisation
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules without prior notice.
💳 5. Plans & Payments
Free Plan: The free tier is available indefinitely with daily usage limits as described on our pricing page. No payment is required.
Paid Plans: Paid plans are billed monthly. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
- All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe an error has occurred
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers
Trial Periods: Where a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel before the trial period expires to avoid charges.
📝 6. Content
Our content: All quiz questions, AI-generated content, graphics, logos and materials produced by Edubozza are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce or distribute them without permission.
Your content: When you create custom quizzes or upload materials, you retain ownership of that content. By uploading it to Edubozza, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use it to deliver our services.
AI-generated content: Questions and explanations generated by our AI are provided for educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, AI can make mistakes — always verify important information with additional sources.
🏫 7. Schools & Teachers
School plans give administrators the ability to create and manage teacher and learner accounts. The school administrator is responsible for:
- Ensuring all users under the school account agree to these terms
- Obtaining appropriate consent for learners under the age of 18
- Ensuring the platform is used in accordance with school policies
Independent Teachers using the Educator plan operate under their own account and are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from their learners.
🤖 8. AI Features
Our AI Tutor and quiz generation features are powered by third-party AI providers. By using these features, you acknowledge:
- AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate
- Content you submit to the AI tutor (text, images, voice) may be processed by our AI providers in accordance with their privacy policies
- You must not submit personally identifiable information about third parties to the AI tutor
- AI features are subject to fair use limits as described in your plan
⚖️ 9. Limitation of Liability
Edubozza is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
🔒 10. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at info@edubozza.org.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay for a paid plan, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.
We will retain your data for up to 90 days after termination, after which it will be permanently deleted, unless legal obligations require longer retention.
🔄 11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify users by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform.
Your continued use of Edubozza after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
